Royal Life Ministries Fall Newsletter 2013
We can hardly believe that on November 3 it will be ten years since we celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary with a renewal of our vows! Where does the time go?! That ceremony was such a gift from God to us as people came out of the wood work to create an entire “wedding” for us. It was beautiful! In that ceremony we shared a power point presentation of our life together. We shared Joel 2:25, “I will make up to you for the years that the locust has eaten.” No one can fully know the miracle of our life, marriage and ministry except us and God. What a sweet ministry God has given us as we talk with couples (now for five years) and tell them, “IF we can make it, anyone can!” Watching individuals understand their identity in Christ and God heal broken hearts has been priceless. We are so thankful for our partners in ministry who pray for us and give financially so that we can delegate our time to ministry. God has proved Himself faithful as we took a step of faith in 2008. 2003

Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Here’s an awesome testimony by one of our counselee’s that we’d like to share with you: “I am grateful for the ministry that Rebekah and Tim provide for broken people like me. After spending many years angry and closed off to God due to hurtful life circumstances, God led me to Royal Life so that I could learn the truth about His grace and love. Like many others, my view of God was warped and I believed He hated me and was punishing me for all the “bad” things I had done. Through my time with Rebekah, I came to understand that “Jesus didn’t come to make bad people good; He came to make dead people live.” I was able to get off the treadmill (or dread mill as I like to refer to it) of performance and finally accept Jesus’ love and the gift of His sacrifice that allows us to live a free life. I am so thankful for the insight that Rebekah provided by listening to God’s call and spreading the message He wants all of us to hear. I believe so much in their ministry that I will continue to be a life-long supporter so that other broken people can receive the message of wholeness through Jesus that has been shown to me.” Wonderful Family News: We are so happy to welcome Easton Jase Phillips into our family. Christen and Jeremy are so excited to have this new addition to their family. Much to our surprise we found out we will be having another grandchild from Jason and Katie! Psalm 126:2-3 – Our mouth was filled with laughter and our tongue with joyful shouting; They said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them. The Lord has done great things for us; We are glad.”

We are blessed to just find out our fourth grandchild is a boy!

Our Summer Journey: This summer has been unusually slow for us. The slow season has been timely because we got to spend extra time with our daughter and new grandbaby and grandson’s. However, it has taken a toll on our support. As we pray and seek God’s direction we continually hear Him say, “Trust me!” We hate to admit that sometimes we can be like the children of Israel, forgetting all of the many times God has proven Himself to us and begin to belly ache! Even as we write this newsletter and I typed Joel 2:25, my eyes go to Joel 2:26 – You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. Then my people will never be put to shame. God makes me LOL as HE speaks to us in so many different ways. As we study the scriptures together we notice Paul praying and prison doors open which encourages us. But Paul also prayed three times for a thorn in the flesh to be removed and God said, “No, my grace is sufficient.” Jesus said, “Ask and you shall receive.” He also said to tell a mountain to move and it will move. Tim makes me (Rebekah) laugh because he said in III Timothy 2:2 it says “And in all these things a man can go crazy.” (I know the pressure on the man of the family is felt more.) Our faith is based on the fact that Jesus CAN do anything we ask but His ways are not always our ways. We will make our request known to Him and trust Him and try to not lean on our own understanding. We believe with all of our hearts that we are doing exactly what we are supposed to be doing. We now have an unspeakable peace in the midst of uncertainty. But we would appreciate your prayers for God’s provision through support, counselee’s and conferences. If you’d like to know more about our support team, visit our web site and look under resources for a short video. Thanks for loving us and believing in us. Your friendship is appreciated. We wish you and your family a wonderful Fall season and upcoming Thanksgiving!
