San Diego Night games on the city streets, Who will play with me? Broken bones or bloody sheets Who will set me free? Will the predator fear the prey Beneath these city lights? Or shall the hunter become the hunted In the shadow of the night? The beast begins its prowl In the seclusion of broken dreams. None can hear the howl. None will hear the screams. Does the Moon disdain my lunacy Or bless it with her grace? The fiery beast is within my soul But Her light shines on my face. The concrete beneath my feet Urges me ever on. The silence of the street Becomes my hunting song. Shall I see my Saviour, The recipient of my rage? Or will She come to punish me Within this hellish cage? Atlast a hand upon my arm Leads me in a spin. I smile at him with evil charm, For now the dance begins. Why does the flesh feel So sweet beneath my hand? The beast springs forth enflamed To become all that I am. I leave him in the city dirt Blood pounding in my ears. There is more of it on my shirt. And now I fight the tears. Why is the joy so brief? For one second I was free. And now the beast comes crawling Creeping in to me. Must I seek another Predator of the dark? The city streets are empty and The alleyways are stark. But wait I see Her standing there, The Moon in leather dressed, Have You come to purge me Goddess? Softly She whispers.....Yes. Night games on the city streets, Who will play with me? Broken bones and bloody sheets, Who shall set me free?
