Applications are offered by University of Sussex to pursue master degree level. To be eligible for a
scholarship applicant must be a self-financing student from India and have accepted an offer of a
full-time place on a Masters course at the University of Sussex commencing in September 2015.

PhD Studentships for Indian Students at King’s College London in UK, 2014
King’s College has invited applications from Indian students to pursue PhD research program.
Studentships are awarded in the field of modern Indian intellectual history/history of ideas. There

Oxford-Indira Gandhi Graduate Scholarships for Indian students are available to pursue graduate
degree level. Up to 3 scholarships are offered for the full duration of student fee liability for the
agreed course. The scholarship will cover 100% of University and college fees and a grant for living
costs (of at least £13,863). Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. The

CWIT Scholarships for Indians in UK, 2015/16
Charles Wallace India Trust is inviting applications for 2–3 months research in the Arts and Heritage
Conservation. Every year CWIT offers up to 10 long term awards. Scholarship for Indians covers
accommodation and living costs in the UK, fees and a contribution to international fares. CWIT does

2014 Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy Fellowship Program for Indian Students, USA
Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum
(IUSSTF) are offering applications for Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy fellowship. Fellowships for
Indian students are available to undertake research work at reputed U.S. scientific/technological
institution. Citizens with Ph.D. in Science, Engineering or Technology are eligible to apply for this

INSA Medal for Young Scientists in India, 2015
Indian National Science Academy is offering applications for INSA Medal for Young Scientists in
India. Awards are available to young scientists in recognition of their outstanding contributions in
any branch of science or technology coming within the purview of the Academy. The research
carried out in India by the nominees will be taken into consideration for the award. Awardee will be
presented a Medal, a certificate, and cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-. There are 30 awards available to

NEF Research Grant Programme for Indian Applicants, 2015
The NEF Research Grant Programme is available for students of India. The NEF supports research
and publication projects concerning nature conservation in developing countries, mainly in the
Asia- Pacific region. To be eligible, applicants must have sufficient experience and skills in
conducting and managing the proposed research. Grants are available for the duration of two
years. The maximum grant size in this programme is 500,000 Japanese yen per project for a

The University of Waikato is offering Excellence Scholarship for Asian students. Scholarships are

Applicant must be a citizen of China, Hong Kong, Japan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam,
Singapore, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan or Thailand. Scholarships of NZ$5,000 will be awarded

2014-2015 UGC Postdoctoral Fellowships for SC/ST Candidates, India
UGC Postdoctoral fellowships are available for SC/ST Candidates for a period of five years. These
fellowships are awarded to undertake postdoctoral research in Sciences, Engineering & Technology,
Humanities and Social Sciences at Indian Universities/Institutions/Colleges. The numbers of slots
available under the scheme are 100 per year. The upper age limit for male applicants is 50 years
as on 1st July of the year of application, and 55 years in the case of female candidates. In
exceptional cases, the age may be relaxed. Application deadline is 30th August 2014.
Canadian Government Doctoral Research Scholarships
Each year, the government of Canada offers doctoral research scholarships for international
students. Scholarships are awarded for pursuing doctoral studies at Québec University in the
natural sciences, mathematics and engineering fields. The maximum annual value of the
scholarship is $20 000. The scholarship holder may also receive up to nine payments totaling $60
000 during the nine sessions or 36 months. Only students who have been pre selected by a Québec
university may apply for these scholarships. Applicants must consult the deadlines of the
universities for pre selection. The deadline for submitting complete files directly to the FRQNT is
November 1st, 2014.
Chevening Scholarships for Postgraduate Students
Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations offer Chevening scholarships
for master students. The programme provides full or part funding for full-time courses at
postgraduate level, normally a one-year Master’s degree in any subject and at any UK
University. Chevening scholarships cover tuition fees, a living allowance at a set rate (for one
individual), an economy class return airfare to the UK and additional grants to cover essential
expenditure. Some Scholarships cover part of the cost of studying in the UK; for example, tuition
fees only or allowances only. The application deadline is 15th November 2014.
Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships
The Government of Canada offers Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships for Canadian
and international students studying at Canadian universities. Up to 167 scholarships are awarded
annually for a period of three years. Students must be nominated by only one Canadian university,
which must have received a Vanier CGS allocation. Candidates cannot apply directly to the Vanier
CGS program. Each Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship is valued at $50,000 per year. Application
deadline for the 2014-2015 competition is November 5, 2014.
Sri Lankan Government Presidential Scholarships
Applications are invited for up to 100 Sri Lankan Government Scholarships available for foreign
students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degree commencing in December 2014 in Sri
Lanka. Scholarships are open for courses of studies other than Medical & Dental Sciences. Every
student is required to undergo an HIV/AIDS test within a month after arrival. Candidates should
apply for this scholarship with the recommendation of the government scholarship nominating
agency (Ministry/Institution) of the respective country till 15th October, 2014.

Westminster International Partnership Scholarships in UK, 2015
University of Westminster is offering master scholarships for international students. Applicants
must be an international student from one of the countries and hold an offer for a full-time masters
degree at the University. These scholarships will provide Half (50 per cent) tuition fee award. The
scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence, financial need. Application
should be submitted till 17th October 2014.
Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships for Indian Students at University of Queensland
University of Queensland is offering applications for postgraduate coursework scholarships
available for outstanding students who are citizens of India. Up to six scholarships will be awarded

Department of Science & Technology (DST), Republic of South Africa and NAM S&T Centre calls for
training fellowships for Indians on Minerals Processing & Benefaction. Twenty Fellowships are
available this year for a maximum duration of three months. A subsistence allowance @ of US$ 300
per month will be paid to the selected Fellow for meals, miscellaneous expenses and local

International Office Merit Scholarships at Birkbeck University of London
Birkbeck University has invited applications for merit scholarships for Indian students to pursue
one-year taught Master’s degrees. Scholarship has a value of £2,000 paid as a contribution towards
tuition fees. Scholarship for Indian students is for a period of one-year. Applicants must be Indian
citizens with a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university with a final grade of 70% or
higher. The deadline for application is 30th August 2014.
IDEX Global Fellowship Program for Indian Fellows, 2015
IDEX is offering Global Fellowship for Indians to work full-time with a social enterprise partner (in
India), in addition to completing IDEX’s Entrepreneur Leadership Training. Fellowships are
awarded for a period of 6 months. IDEX recruits fellows from all corners of the world. Fellows will
receive a modest monthly living stipend (approx. $85-$125 USD/month) towards the fellow’s cost

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowships for SC/ST Students in India
Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs calls applications for Rajiv
Gandhi National Fellowships (RGNF) Scheme available for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes.
The scheme is open to candidates who wish to pursue higher studies such as regular and full time
M.Phil. and PhD degrees in Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Engineering & Technology.
The selection will be made on the basis of merit of the candidates Last date for application is 25th

India New Zealand Sports Cooperation Scholarships for Indian Students
Sports scholarships available for Indian students to study sport related programs. Scholarships will
be available to undertake Bachelor degree, Graduate Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma and
Master program at New Zealand universities, Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics. The

available to facilitate participation in CCAMLR Scientific Committee workshops or working group
meetings, relevant preparatory meetings and exceptionally, meetings of the Scientific Committee

University of Queensland is inviting applications for postgraduate coursework scholarships

awards will be tenable for four years from April, 2015 to March, 2019 including one-year
preparatory education in the Japanese language and other subjects due to be provided upon arrival
in Japan.

International Space University MSc Scholarships for Bangladeshi Students
International Space University is funding scholarships for Bangladeshi students for pursuing
masters degree. Scholarships are granted on the basis of academic and professional merit,

Rhodes Scholarships for International Students
Rhodes Scholarships are awarded for pursuing full-time postgraduate studies at the University of
Oxford, UK. 83 Rhodes scholars are selected annually from 14 countries or groupings of countries
around the world. Each scholarship covers all University and College fees, a personal stipend and
one economy class airfare to Oxford at the start of the scholarship as well as an economy flight
back to the student’s home country at the conclusion of the scholarship. Applications will be open
on 1st June 2014 for 2015 round with different deadlines for each country.
DAAD Master Scholarships for Public Policy and Good Governance
DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) is funding master scholarships in Public Policy and
Good Governance at German institution in Germany. A monthly scholarship rate of currently 750 €
will be awarded. Scholarships also provide health insurance, travel allowance as well as a study
and research subsidy and in applicable cases accommodation subsidies and/or family
allowances. The next application deadline is 31st July 2014.

Newcastle University Undergraduate India Scholarships
Newcastle University is awarding India Scholarships for undergraduate studies commencing in
September 2014 within the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS), Science,
Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE) and Medical Sciences (FMS). Applicants must hold a Conditional
or Unconditional offer of a place at Newcastle University. The scholarship worth £3,000 each will be
payable towards the first year of tuition fees. Application should be submitted till 30th June 2014.
PhD Positions at Centre of Biomedical Research
Applications are invited for PhD positions from eligible JRF qualified candidates at Centre of
Biomedical Research (CBMR). Candidates who are interested in pursuing research in
interdisciplinary areas are encouraged to apply. The applicant should have master’s degree in Life
Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Bioinformatics with a good academic record
and should be CSIR/UGC-JRF, ICMR-JRF, or DBT-JRF qualified. Position will include 16,000 + HRA (or

Tara Nirula International Students House (ISH) Scholarship
University of the Arts London is inviting application for Tara Nirula International Students House
(ISH) Scholarship. Graduate scholarship for 2014/2015 is a combined tuition fee and residential
scholarship. Graduate scholarship covers combined tuition fee and residential
scholarship. The application deadline is 13th June 2014.
Postdoctoral Fellowships for Chinese and Indian Applicants
The Agriculture Research Organization invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships for research
during the fiscal year 2014-2015. The Fellowships are intended for Chinese and Indian citizens
that have completed a PhD program from selected Institutes. Applicants will be evaluated on the
basis of academic excellence that is reflected in productivity and impact in the field of study.
The total award is 100,000 Israeli Shekels per year. The application deadline is June 1st 2014.
Vice Chancellor’s Indian Scholarships
The University of Sheffield is funding 10 scholarships for Indian PhD applicants who will be starting
their research in 2014-15. This funding is available for projects aligned to the following Doctoral
Training Centres. These scholarships fund up to 3-4 years full-time study (depending on the chosen

Sussex India Scholarships for Masters Students in UK, 2014
University of Sussex is offering India scholarships to study all full-time taught masters degree
courses at University (e.g. MA, MSc, LLM. MRes) excluding the below mentioned courses. The
scholarship is available only to self-financing students. If student’s tuition fee is funded by an
external funding body they will not be eligible to receive the scholarship. Scholarship

Macedonian Government Undergraduate Scholarships
Applications are invited for Macedonian government scholarships available for foreign students to
pursue
undergraduate studies for the academic 2014/2015 at the University of Information Science and Te

Cardiff University Business School offers India scholarships for enrolling on any Postgraduate
Taught Degree Programme. This scholarship consists of a fee reduction of £5,000. These awards
take the form of a fees reduction and will be awarded based on academic merit, taking into
account academic performance as well as the potential benefit of postgraduate study and the

International Mobility Program for Young Researchers from India and Nepal, 2014

MS. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship at St. Antony’s College, Oxford UK, 2014
Government of the India is inviting applications for Ms. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship at St.
Antony’s College, Oxford (UK). Fellowship is open only for Indian students. One fellowship is offered
and covers an amount of£ 29,347/- per annum. The fellowship is tenable for one year in the first
instance, which can be extended by one year more on the basis of performance of the candidate.

WIT Indian ‘Wicket Scholarships in Ireland, 2014
Waterford Institute of Technology is offering a limited number of Indian scholarships to students
who have completed their 12th Standard or undergraduate degree at a recognised High
School/University in India. For entry to masters programmes, applicants must have no backlogs
during the 3/4 years of their degree. Application should be submitted till 31st of May, 2014.
HM King’s and HM Queen’s Scholarships for Asian Students in Thailand, 2014
Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is offering HM King’s and HM Queen’s Scholarships for Thai
national or other nationalities in the Asian region. Full scholarships will be awarded for entire period
of 22- month master degree program. King’s Scholarships are awarded in any of the disciplines
offered at School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and School of Management (SOM).

Masters Fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine
Fellowships are available for research training at Master’s degree level. Fellows must be based in a
low- or middle-income country for their research project. Fellows will receive a stipend in
accordance with the cost of living in the country in which they will be studying. Last date of
submitting applications is 15 August 2014.
International Scholarship Scheme for Indian Students
Scholarships for Indian students are available for pursuing a full-time course at Southampton
Solent University. Once applicants have accepted their offer and paid the required deposit, the
university will send them the scholarship award of £1,000 notification, which they use towards their
tuition fee. The application deadline is 31 July 2014.
Intermediate Fellowships for Indian Students
Wellcome Trust is offering research fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. The
fellowships are awarded for up to five years and provide a basic salary. It covers research expenses
and training costs. Applicants must have a relevant high-quality publication record and show
potential to become a future scientific leader. Preliminary application deadline is 25 April 2014 and
full application deadline is 4 July 2014.
MBA Scholarships for Indian Students
University of Glasgow is offering MBA scholarships for Indian students commencing in September
2014. The value of each scholarship is £5,000. The criteria for the scholarships are academic
excellence and personal achievement. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their application
for admission. The application deadline is 1 July 2014.
International Students House Residential Scholarships for Indian Students
Applications are invited for residential scholarships in London for the September 2014
intake. Preference will be given to postgraduate students who are studying a course that will
provide skills to assist in the development of their home country. Students must have a good

proven academic record, with every prospect of success in their study and future careers.
Applications will close on May 31st 2014.
International BU Dean’s Scholarships for Indian Students
Scholarships for Indian students are available for pursuing full-time taught masters’ degree at
Bournemouth University. Scholarships include 50% or 25% fee reduction. Scholarships are offered
for duration of the program. Last date of submitting applications is 31 st May 2014.
Professor Arthur Li Development Scholarship
This scholarship for Indian students is available for pursuing master’s degree level at the University
of the West of England in UK. Applicants must have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in their
undergraduate degree. One scholarship will be offered for one year. Applications will close on 31st
May 2014.
Janssen Phamaceutica Scholarships for Indian students
Scholarships are available for pursuing master degree level at London School of Hygiene & Tropical
Medicine and the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. Applicants must hold an offer of
admission to the MSc in Global Mental Health commencing in 2014/15. Each scholarship will cover
full overseas tuition fees and a living expense stipend of £14,000. The application deadline is 1st
May 2014.
Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship for Indian Students
London Metropolitan University is accepting applications for Mahatma Gandhi scholarship for Indian
students. One scholarship is offered and covers the tuition fees for a Master’s programme at
London Met. The scholarship will be awarded to the most outstanding postgraduate student on the
basis of excellent academic performance in India. The deadline for applications is 30 April 2014.
UNU-ISP PhD Scholarships for Indian Students
Scholarships for Indian students are available for pursuing PhD degree at United Nations University.
A limited number of PhD scholarships (covering tuition fees and living costs) for a maximum of 36
months are available for outstanding applicants from developing countries. Online application
deadline is 30th April 2014.
Masters Scholarships for Indian Students
Scholarships for Indian students are available for pursuing master degree level at Kasetsart
University. Scholarships include tuition fee and monthly research assistant stipend including
research expenditure and health insurance. Scholarships are available for two consecutive
academic years of full-time graduate enrollment. Application deadline is April 30, 2014.
Wellcome Trust International Engagement Awards
Wellcome Trust is offering awards for research applicants for 2014 intake. Applicants must be or
collaborating with a researcher, research group or institution to provide expertise in the area of
biomedical science you are exploring. The scholarships will provide up to £30,000 for three years.
Applications should be submitted till 18th April 2014.
Wellcome Trust/ DBT India Alliance Margdarshi Fellowships
Fellowships are available for pursuing research program at not-for-profit research institute or
university in India. The Fellowship is awarded for five years. There is no age limit to apply for this
Fellowship. Applicants would normally be expected to be running an independent laboratory for 10
years or more and have a strong scientific record. The application deadline is 4 April 2014.

Law School Postgraduate Taught Scholarships for Indian Students
Scholarships for Indian students are available for pursuing postgraduate taught degree level at
University of Warwick. Applicants must already hold an offer from the School of Law and be able to
meet the English language requirements by the end of March 2014. Applications will close on
31st March 2014.
Marshal Papworth Scholarships for Indian Students
The scholarships for Indian students are available for pursuing postgraduate and a short course
programme. Marshal Papworth scholarship fund one-year postgraduate courses such as MSc or MA.
The scholarships are designed to fund the majority of tuition fees, living expenses and travel
costs. The application deadline is 24th March 2014.
Cultures of Resistance Scholarships for Indian Students
Scholarships for Indian students are available for pursuing masters’ degree level at SOAS
University of London. Each scholarship is valued at £24,000 in total. Fees will be deducted from this
amount and the remainder will be used toward maintenance. In addition, each scholar will benefit
from a 20% reduction in their tuition fees. The application deadline is 20 March 2014.
Imperial College India Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships for Indian Students
Imperial College London is offering postgraduate scholarships for Indian students. Each scholarship
covers the full cost of (overseas) tuition fees, a maintenance allowance, some additional costs and
an airfare to India. This includes Maintenance allowance equal to Imperial’s minimum stipend
allowance in any given year. Application should be submitted till 14th March 2014.
RNTC Fellowships for Indian Students
RNTC’s Fellowships are available for professional journalists, programme-makers, broadcast
trainers and managers. The fellowships will be awarded on academic and professional merit. It
covers the course fee (up to 50%), not the costs for travel and accommodation. The application
deadlines vary according to the subjects.
