If you’re wondering what scholarships are available for students in the Cayman Islands, you’ve come to the right place.

AWaRD Standard overseas scholarship

AWaRD PROVIDER Education Council

DISCIPLINE aND VaLUE Up to $20,000 per year to pursue undergraduate study in any field at an overseas institution. Up to $25,000 per year to pursue postgraduate study in any field at an overseas institution (including online study). Up to $20,000 per year towards tuition, room and board, meals, travel and books for students pursuing overseas study. Up to $20,000 per year to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate study in naval architecture, nautical or marine engineering, or survey and admin studies at an overseas institution. Up to $30,000 per year to pursue undergraduate study overseas in business admin, finance or a related course. Full scholarship covering tuition and books available for both full and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate study at the local universities (University College Cayman Islands and International College Cayman Islands). Full and tiered scholarships available, for government year 12 dual entry students only. Second year is tiered funding, based on the number of O Levels studied, up to a max of $7,000. Tiered funding of up to $7,000 for private school students only. Partial scholarship of up to $7,500 per year to pursue full or part-time undergraduate study at the local law school. Partial and full scholarships of up to $25,000 per year to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in tourism or a related discipline. A one-year full-time course leading to a professional tourism qualification. Scholarship package ranges from $15,000-$18,000. For students aged between 16 and 30 who wish to pursue a vocational or technical course in Cayman or overseas. Value varies according to subject chosen and funds available.

DISCIPLINE aND VaLUE Up to $30,000 per year available for students looking to pursue a career in public accounting. Funding is available for both local and overseas study. Up to $30,000 per year to pursue further study locally or overseas, with a view to public accounting. Local scholarship package covers fees, books and supplies. For overseas scholarships, a maximum of $30,000 will be awarded for up to four and a half years. Up to $35,000 per year to study a degree programme in line with Deloitte’s professional service lines. The scholarship will be awarded for a maximum period of four to five years. An annual scholarship for students pursuing degree programmes in areas of study related to the financial industry. Overseas educational grants are also offered to students looking to study locally or pursue a degree overseas. An annual scholarship of up to $25,000 for students wishing to study a vocational or degree subject relevant to the work of the water authority. An award of $36,000 per year to study a four-year degree programme overseas, at a competitive university. Students do not need to study finance or work in the industry upon graduating. Up to $92,000 total funding available to Caymanians intending to pursue a legal career at the Cayman Islands Law School or an approved overseas university. Up to $30,000 per year for Caymanians wishing to pursue a law degree at a recognised university. For students looking to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a recognised university (amount varies). The cost of tuition, room and board for up to four years’ study in culinary arts and food management from any Johnson & Wales US campus (Rhode Island, Florida, Colorado or North Carolina), plus a paid internship at the Ritz-Carlton Cayman resort for each year of study. Full scholarships available for Caymanians interested in studying at the Cayman Islands Law School and pursuing a legal career. Package includes fees and a cost of living stipend. Up to $40,000 per year for law and non-law full or part-time degree or diploma students. A four-year scholarship for local students looking to pursue a career in the visual arts. Scholarships available to study at UK universities (usually one year master’s degrees) for highcalibre students with the potential to become leaders, opinion formers or decision makers. More information is available at www.chevening.org Funded short-term exchange opportunities for Caymanian students, offering funds of up to CA$10,000 for a study or research period of up to six months.
