Objectives of the Different School
Sports:
INTRAMURALS:
The purpose of the intramural sports program is to provide opportunities for
students, faculty, and staff to actively engage in activities involving sport,
recreation, and play while providing structure for an experiential education. Its
objectives are to:




To provide opportunities to actively engage to activities and programs promoting an
enhanced quality of life.
To provide opportunities for personal development through leadership, diversity, and
teamwork.
To provide a forum for an experiential education for students, faculty, and staff.

DISTRICT ATHLETIC MEET:
This is a sport event wherein different schools within the district compete for a spot
at the Division Athletic Meet. This provides more flexible ideas about leadership,
teamwork and sportsmanship.
They fight and meet other students from other schools different from those teams
they have fought in their schools during their intramurals. Its objectives are:




To provide opportunity to be inventive and creative in sports activities.
To develop an ability to observe, analyze and judge the performance of self and peers
in sporting situations.
To provide a wider range for students to be exposed in sports.

DIVISION ATHLETIC MEET:
A sport event participated by district representatives from winning schools of their
own. Its purpose is to promote sports and let students from different schools engage
in unity, teamwork and responsibility. These are the objectives of this event:




To enhance leadership skills and foster qualities of cooperation, tolerance,
consideration, trust and responsibility when faced with group problems and tasks.
To provide healthy competition through inter-school matches.
To provide a release for students with the ability to refresh for academic works.

Objectives of the Different School
Sports:
CITY ATHLETIC MEET & PROVINCIAL ATHLETIC MEET:
A Sport Enthusiast filled event joined by the city’s different divisions or in provines
with their diff. public and private schools represented by their chosen best athletes
and teams.
Its purpose is to create and develop strong contingents. These are the top
objectives of this sport event:




To prepare each student athlete to be able to participate fully in the competitive,
leisure, and recreational opportunities outside the school environment.
To develop and enhance the ability to maintain the sense of sportsmanship.
To challenge the participating athletes from all challenges that would come their way
through the games.

REGIONAL ATHLETIC MEET:
This is a sport event particularly participated and joined by Cities within the region
represented by their best chosen athletes and teams. In this event, winning schools
from cities and provinces with the following objectives:




Appreciate and be able to execute strategic play.
Participate at a level appropriate to one's developmental stage.
Share in the planning and administration of sport experience.

NATIONAL ATHLETIC MEET:
The Palarong Pambansa is an annual multi-sporting event involving student-athletes
from 17 regions of the Philippines organized and governed by the Department of
Education or DepEd. Student-athletes from private and non-private schools from
elementary and secondary levels are legitimately can joined the national event as
long as they are qualified and they are regional champions. Here are some
objectives of this grand sport event:





To promote Physical Education and sports as an integral part of the Basic Education
curriculum for holistic development of the youth.
Inculcate the spirit of discipline, teamwork, excellence, fair play, solidarity,
sportsmanship, and other values inherent in sports.
Promote and achieve peace by means of sports.
