SCENE ONE – WHEN CHIN SIEW VISITS MAMAT
EXT. TAYLOR’S UNIVERSITY - DAY
Chin Siew meets up with Mamat at the stairs beside the lake in
Taylor’s University. Mamat is standing on the steps of the
stairs. Chin Siew spots Mamat and walks up to him.
CHIN SIEW
(Loudly) Hey, Mamat! What’s up, bro.
(Chin Siew and Mamat greet each other with a bro hug)
MAMAT
Eh, Chin Siew! Long time no see weyh. Thanks for visiting me in
Taylor’s.
(They sit on the stairs)
CHIN SIEW
So, how’s life here in Taylor’s? I hear people say Taylorians are
really rich and stuck up. (shakes his head, disgusted)
MAMAT
(shocked)Eh! No way, man. Trust me, Taylorians are actually
pretty nice people once you get to know them.
CHIN SIEW
(skeptical) Really meh?
MAMAT
I’m serious! (takes out his phone) Come I show you. (Shows
Instagram photo of the cool kid with hashtag #semalampunyacerita)
SCENE TWO – MEET THE COOL KIDS

EXT. STAIRCASE OUTSIDE THE GRAND HALL – DAY
(INSTAGRAM SHOT) The scene begins with the cool kids posing on
the staircase. (SLOW MOTION) They slowly descend the staircase,
wearing shades and looking confident. A person standing at the
bottom of the stairs, holding a phone takes a photo of them.
The photo is shown on Instagram. Two girls walking past the
staircase, stares at the cool kids disdainfully.
They see the Instagram photo and comments “Wow, so #lansi you
guys.” And “You only cause #havoc”
Two guys walking from a different direction stares at the cool
kids in admiration.
They see the photo on Instagram and proceed to comment “Omg, you
guys are #slayin!”
One of the cool kids reply to jealous girls with “@(name)
#akupakaikauyangpanas”
COOL KID 1#: (

Guys, let’s go yumcha.
(Tweets “#Yumcha with the gang in Starbucks!”)
The rest of the group nods and voices their agreement, as they
walk away.
Eunice and Rachel spot the cool kids from afar and tries to get
their attention by yelling their names and waving.
They give up, looking frustrated when they weren’t heard by the
cool kids.
They stop to look at their phones, see Cool Kid 1#’s tweet and
replies with “Eh, why you guys #bojio?!”
SCENE THREE – CHILLING IN STARBUCKS

INT. STARBUCKS – DAY
The scene begins with the cool kids entering Starbucks. A short
pan of the camera shows Mamat sitting alone at a table, watching
them enter.
The cool kids sit down on the couches and begin to talk to one
another.
One of the cool kids notices Mamat trying to flirt with Levy?,
and points it out to the rest of the group. Camera moves to focus
on Mamat and Levy.
MAMAT
(Awkwardly stammers) Maybe…uhh.. if you’re free sometime, like
after class…Umm, we can errr… Hang out?
LEVY
(uncomfortable) Err.. I don’t think I’ll be free to hang out.
Sorry.
MAMAT
(disappointed)Oh, it’s okay…
(awkward silence before he slowly walks away and sits down at the
table where he was before)
COOL KID 2#:(
)
(walks up to Mamat)
(mockingly making a sad expression)
Hey, at least #brocuba right?
(shrugs)
The rest of the cool kids go “Awwww…” and makes sad, pouting
faces at Mamat.

SCENE FOUR: COOL KIDS IN THE MAMAK
INT. MAMAK – DAY

Cool kids walk into the mamak, sit down and proceed to order
their food.
While waiting, they overhear the KLFW girl showing off to her
friends about attending the KL Fashion Week.
KLFW GIRL: (
)
(flips hair) Last weekend, I went to the KL Fashion Week with
Anita and it was sooooo cool! The designs were like, so amazing
and the models were smoking hot. (sighs) It was just so awesome.
(clips of the event are shown while she speaks)
Cool kids are shown talking to each other and looks up her
Instagram profile to see if KLFW girl has posted any photos of
the event. They are shown looking surprised and shaking their
heads.
COOL KID 3#: (

(walks up to KLFW girl’s table and shows a photo of her having
dinner with her family)
Ehhh? #macamyestapibukan.
KLFW Girl looks down at the table in embarrassment while her
friends berate her for not telling them the truth.
Cool kids are shown laughing and talking.

(smiles dreamily)
And that’s what happened. See, they’re not bad right?
CHIN SIEW
(confused)
Dude, what the heck you talking about? You just confirmed that
they’re mean and like to kacau people only!
MAMAT
(sheepish) Oh right, sorry, I forgot to tell you what happens
after that.
The KL Fashion Week girl actually managed to get the tickets to
the event next year!
CHIN SIEW
……..I’m still blur, man. You’re not telling the story properly
lah. How did she get them?
MAMAT
Oh, one of the cool kids got contacts lah. She asked one girl she
knows who’s a part of the event to help her out by giving a
couple of tickets for the KL Fashion Week next year.
CHIN SIEW
Hmmm…I see. (nods) Ehh but then, what about you? They still made
fun of you right?
Mamat shrugs and is about to reply when he receives a text. They
look at each other and read the message from Levy which said
“Hey, Mamat! Let’s meet up for dinner tonight ” Mamak and Chin
Siew look at each other and freak out.

(Shouts) She asked me out! Oh my God, dude, I can’t believe it!
This is awesome!
CHIN SIEW
(shocked) Woah, dude! It’s great that she changed her mind! I’m
proud of you, man.
MAMAT
(calms down) Yeah ah… why did she change her mind? I thought that
she was pretty serious about not wanting to go out with me.
MAMAT AND CHIN SIEW

ONE: INT. KLFW GIRL’S DORM – NIGHT
(Male voiceover by Mamat)
An envelope is slipped under the KLFW girl’s dorm door. She sees
it and picks it up. When she opens it, she realizes it contains
two tickets to the KL Fashion Week 2016. She shrieks in happiness
and jumps around excitedly.
TWO: EXT. SUNWAY HOTEL – DAY
A cool kid receives tickets from a Jessrina wearing a KL Fashion
Week tag.

SCENE SIX: FLASHBACK AND ENDING
INT. STARBUCKS – DAY
(Flashback)
As the cool kids leave Starbucks for the mamak, Cool Kid 2# stays
back to talk to Levy.
COOL KID 2#:(
)
I just..well, I think you should give him a chance. He’s actually
a nice dude once you get to know him.
LEVY
(conflicted) Alright (nods) I’ll think about it.
Mamat watches them interact and sighs sadly when Levy laughs and
smiles with Cool Kid 2#
EXT. TAYLOR’S LAKESIDE – DAY
MAMAT
(excited) So THAT’S how they did it!

(smiles) Ahh, these #dakdaktaylors aren’t so bad after all!
MAMAT
Yeah, people think they’re all the same but they’re different. I
guess, we can’t judge a person when we don’t know who they really
are.
CHIN SIEW

[ENDING SCENE]
INT. RESTAURANT – NIGHT
Mamat and Levy are on a date. Cool kids are at a nearby table,
talking and laughing.
MAMAT
(to Levy) Hey, let’s take a photo! (turns to one of the cool
kids) Can you help us take a photo?
COOL KID 1#
(nods) No problem!
The scene ends with the rest of the cool kids photobombing Mamat
and Levy as the photo is being taken.
The final scene is the photo on Instagram with the hashtag
#samesamebutdifferent.
