hen he suffered back and neck
injuries stemming from playing
football in college, Dr. Steve
Davis was told surgery would be necessary.
But rather than take that route, Davis
instead sought advice from a chiropractor.
Davis not only lost the discomfort caused
by the injuries, but he also gained a mentor
in the chiropractic profession.

“I really enjoy serving others,” he said. “I treat a number of conditions
including neck and back pain, headaches, shoulder pain, vertigo and much
more. It is very rewarding.”
Dr. Davis began his practice in the Albany area in 1989 and in 2013 he
moved to South Dakota to continue his practice. Recently though, he felt
drawn back to the Albany area.
“Being in a small town is a great fit for me,” he said. “I also came back
to be closer to my own children.”
Though he serves patients all year-round, Dr. Davis notes that fall and
winter tend to get busier when yard work, raking, shoveling and dangerous
falls on ice tend to occur. He encourages everyone to use caution, especially
on ice.
Throughout his experience, Dr. Davis has found enjoyment in making a
difference for his patients and has found countless success stories along the
way.
“There have been patients who thought they would be wheelchairbound because of their conditions and I was able to resolve the issue,” he
explained. “I believe that patients benefit from the care of both chiropractors
and medical physicians. It is all about helping the patient.”
