Tom Fenton recently joined Advantage 1 Insurance. Fenton got his start in sales by working for Regent Communications in St. Cloud, now called Townsquare Media. He sold advertising for radio stations such as 98 Country and MIX 94.9. His first insurance sales job was with American Hardware Mutual, a Minnetonka-based company that allowed him to work out of his home. He covered much of the northern part of the state and worked out of his home. He dealt mainly with commercial and ag businesses. He then joined Bremer Bank as an agent before beginning at Advantage 1 this past August. He will split his time between commercial and personal insurance. Commercial, Agribusiness, Personal, Life, Health, and Auto are available from more than twelve different carriers including Travelers, Progressive, and Grinnell. Using different carriers allows Advantage 1 to offer personalized insurance plans, at the best price! Information for a customer is entered once, and then a comparative rating program sends the information to all the carriers to create an optimal plan for each customer. Using this program saves time and paper and most often, no paper files exist at all.
