Spiritual Cleansing Reference Guide

The best way to guard against unwanted thought forms, negative energies, and psychic attacks is to strengthen your aura. Envision it as an invisible protective shield of light around you, able to deflect any negative energy that comes into your space. Remember also that you have spiritual helpers in the form of angels and spirit guides that are always ready to assist you. Here are some of the basic ways to build a strong aura that will help safeguard you from negative energies:

Get enough restful sleep and pay attention to your dreams. Exercise regularly, relax and eat good food. A weak body is a vulnerable body. Have a good, loving attitude toward yourself and others, and defuse thoughts of anger, rage and hatred. Avoid hateful, gloomy, angry and fearful people. Spend more time outdoors in nature. This has an enormous positive effect on your aura energy field. Keep your personal home and work space reasonably clean and neat. Physical dirt attracts psychic garbage. Let go of self-criticism and self-judgement. Forgive yourself for everything. Forgive others, too. Laugh every chance you get. Laughter is sure to break the bonds of negativity. Bless any individual who you think is harming you. Ask your angels and guides to protect and shield you. Most of all, fill yourself with light of the God Force energy with every breath you take. In prayer or mediation, ask that only the energy that is for your highest good reside in your body and aura.

Protection and Cleansing Techniques
The following simple exercises and techniques are ones you can do everyday that will help you to balance your energies. The Shower of Light - Just as you may take a shower each day to cleanse your physical body, you can also cleanse your spiritual body while in the shower. As you stand under the water, close your eyes and imagine the water turning into a waterfall of light. See the white light flowing through your entire body. As it flows down the drain, it washes away psychic debris and stagnant energy. Then feel the fresh, clean, powerful energy take its place. The Reflective Mirror - This is an exercise to do before entering a place where there may be negative energy and you want to protect yourself from people’s thoughts and feelings. Imagine a 360 degree mirror surrounding you with the reflective side pointing away from you. This will deflect any negative thoughts that come to you and return them to their source. The Bubble - Imagine a large bubble completely surrounding you. Fill the bubble with your favorite colors, ones that represent and reflect your personality and make you feel loved. With each color, mentally say, “This color protects me against any negativity that comes my way.” Daily Affirmations - Start each day as a celebration of life and with a positive focus. Before you get out of bed in the morning, take one moment to thank the great creative force for giving you another day to experience the incredible wonders of life. I always say, “Thank you, dear God, for another day of life. May it bring to me all the necessary experiences so that my soul can learn and grow with the protection of the light of love and all that is good.”

Remember, prayer and meditation are the primary means for protecting yourself. When you strengthen your aura and follow the guidance of your higher self and spiritual guides, you will become discriminating and wise with people, places and events in your life.
