I have been the First Assistant Mgr for two high volume stores simultaneously. My son was recuperating very nicely from a long term serio us illness and this let me proceed with my career plans. This position was hour ly which allowed me to travel to Denver for his treatments. I supervised up to 22 installers and the installed sales office. I was responsi ble for ensuring world class customer service and installer concerns, ensured in voices were processed timely, secured vendor charge backs for problem merchandis e and labor, various reports and audits. My customer service scores were usuall y in the top 15 in the Division. Office Max Inc. Store Manager August 2004-September 2006 Reason for leaving: My son was diagnosed with a very serious illness that requir ed a considerable amount of my time. My Family came first, I resigned my positi on to take care of him. I was responsible for all aspects of running an Office Max retail store includin g, P and L review, expense control, scheduling, hiring, training, customer exper ience, logistics and display. I took over a very broken store in 2004 and at ye ar end 2005 our store was ranked number one in the district for sales vs. last y ear, and ranked 16th in the Territory. Our store also earned the District yearl y best store metrics award, best customer service score, largest percent profit increase, and best average ticket increase. 2006 was well on its way to repeat our success in 2005. We had the best percent of payroll control, and a 16.3 per cent over plan increase in profit, a sales vs. last year increase of 11.11 perce nt, 100 percent training compliance and the second best customer service score i n the district. I am confident we could have pulled ahead and taken the top spo t. Super K-Mart/Big K-Mart Assistant store Manager August 1998--August 2004 Reason for leaving: The company declared Bankruptcy. I lost my entire IRA when the Company dissolved my stock holdings. I was promoted and transferred six times usually to merchandised challenged stor es. I was usually put in charge of all hardlines merchandising but I also comp leted a 9 month service as the soft lines manager at a Super K-Mart in Tucson Az . I was chosen by the divisional team to complete a series of merchandising/fix ture surveys both hard lines and soft lines for the mountain and western slope s tores. I assisted in their resets and refixturing. I was the relief store mana ger for the Big K-Mart in Denver on Evans St. for three months. Montgomery Ward Operations Manager/Relief Manager

April 1986--August 1998 Reason for leaving: The Company Declared Bankruptcy. My store was closed I was promoted and transferred nine times to progressively more responsible posi tions. I was a store Manager for five months before the Company closed my store . I supervised up to 85 employee's including a commission sales force, and an a uto center. My team won the district, Regional and Company award for best contr ollable expenses. I was also twice chosen to be the area trainer for new system s roll outs in the Arizona market.
