¡Lo Tengo!
Instrucciones:
3. La primera persona que tiene cinco en una línea (across, diagonal, or straight up and down) necesita gritar ¡Lo Tengo! . Si tienes las cajas correctas, serás el ganador. ¡Hay un regalo para cada ganador!

¡LO TENGO!

Dear Substitute Teacher, Thank you for giving your time to be here today, it is greatly appreciated! As long as the students are well behaved, each class is going to play the Spanish version of Bingo, which is ¡Lo Tengo! You can find the handouts for this activity below this letter. Please give one to each student. Here are the rules for the game: 1. Students must fill out the grid with Spanish words from their vocabulary lists. 2. Once they have finished filling it out you, or a student of your choosing, will pick random words from their
list and call them out in English. 3. If the students have the word that has been called they must use a marker (located in the closet by the front door) to mark that square. 4. Once the student has 5 in a row, diagonally, or up and down they must yell out, ³¡Lo Tengo!´. If the student¶s sheet corresponds correctly with the words you have called off they will be the winner. 5. Please give this student a treat from the bottom left-hand drawer of my desk.

I have placed a Warm-Up assignment on the board for students to complete at the beginning of the hour. They already know this routine and should begin their Warm-Up as soon as the bell rings (they may need a friendly reminder). Give them approximately 5 minutes to complete the board work and ask them to hold on to their paper until tomorrow when I will collect it. Students should be enjoying their game which means they might get a little loud. You should not have any problems, these are exceptional students! However, if for some reason you have difficulties with a student, please leave me their name and the dilemma and I will take care of it appropriately when I return. If any situation escalates and becomes too much to handle, please dismiss the student causing problems to the office with a note explaining the incident. Also, if you need help or have additional throughout the day please feel free to ask Mr. Brown whose room is next door. If the class becomes too disruptive you may end the game and have them work on their Spanish notebooks, which they should all have with them. Please do not allow students to pack up their things and wait at the door for the bell to ring. Continue playing ¡Lo Tengo! until the end of each hour. Thank you once again and I hope you have a wonderful time with my students!

Sincerely,
