Taste of Oklahoma City Logo
By Kyle Darling, Ivallyo Milanov, Liz Vass “Taste of Oklahoma City” & Big Brothers Big Sisters Concept: Taste of Oklahoma City is an annual fund raiser event where local restaurants and musicians provide food and entertainment in order to raise money for the charity Big Brothers and Big Sisters. This is a logo, branding and advertising campaign that includes everything from invites and save the dates to posters. As in most cases the logo is the backbone of this campaign. It is a food item that has a bite taken out of it. It resembles the state of Oklahoma. A “home cooked” tone is created, indicative of Oklahoma cuisine and culture. The colors resemble “red dirt” a ubiquitous feature of Oklahoma. Typefaces include an Art Deco style which is not only prominent in Oklahoman architecture but also conveys the refined metropolitan style of the banquet. The other typeface is a playful hand drawn script that contrasts the Art Deco font. It portraits the playful side of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. This campaign is set to launch in the next couple of months. Also, the logo can be easily manipulated to suit the vendors’ type of food.
