TAX EVASION IN LAWYERS SECTOR IN ECUADOR

For we can understand the present investigation, we must know the following:

TAX EVASION:
Is the illegal evasion of taxes by individuals, corporations and trusts. Tax
evasion often entails taxpayers deliberately misrepresenting the true state of
their affairs to the tax authorities to reduce their tax liability and includes
dishonest tax reporting, such as declaring less income, profits or gains than the
amounts actually earned, or overstating deductions. Tax evasion is an activity
commonly associated with the informal economy. One measure of the extent of
tax evasion (the "tax gap") is the amount of unreported income, which is the
difference between the amount of income that should be reported to the tax
authorities and the actual amount reported.

In contrast, tax avoidance is the legal use of tax laws to reduce one's tax
burden. Both tax evasion and avoidance can be viewed as forms of tax
noncompliance.

Tax evasion is a problem that affects the country , and this problem is not only
with the companies , but also in the professional sector , as these take
advantage of the lack of control by the Internal Revenue Service ( IRS) to, so
stop paying or reduce their tax obligations.

In the field of lawyers we can also find this problem, although they should seek
the law enforcement, also committing this crime.

HOW THEY DO IT?
At the time of providing their professional services, they ask "Do you want your
bill?” In order that the client tells you not to also have any record of income
earned and taxes collected.
Lawyers, who engage in this crime, put aside his ethics both as professionals
and as citizens, because with this are breaking the law and hurting the country's
development, since the tax money is a part essential for the formation of the
overall state budget.
SURVEY LAWYERS.
Three lawyers, who were asked, do you deliver invoice each time it serves? As
a result both answered affirmatively, and one said that sometimes he did not, to
avoid paying taxes.
Lawyers know that tax evasion is a crime, so they can’t claim ignorance of the
subject, thus committing the crime are aware of it, so to obtain personal gain at
the expense of the development of the country.

of prisoners.
Tax Awareness:
While recently being implemented is a tax policy, the fact is that there is still
some way to go to raise awareness about their tax liability, something that can
only happen if it is established that the taxpayer first pays the fair, second their
contribution is properly handled and returns for the benefit of public safety and
services and third party beneficiaries have not taxed when handling huge
capital crumbs.
