Norms for Accreditation-NIOS

CARPENTRY (252) FURNITURE & CABINET MAKING (354)
1. 2. The institution should have a workshop/work place of its own. The institution should have a minimum of one professional having a I.T.I. /Community Polytechnic/NIOS or equivalent Certificate in Carpentry, Furniture & Cabinet Making or Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering. A person with B.Sc. or Intermediate with science subject with two years of experience in the trade may also conduct personal contact programme, practical and skill test. 1. The institution should have a minimum of one professional having a Degree (B.Sc. Ag.)/Diploma in Agriculture Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering and having under gone elective course in non-conventional energy. A person with B.Sc./Intermediate with Science subject with two years of experience in installation & maintenance of Solar Energy plants may also conduct personal contact programmes, practical and skill tests. 2. A field visit to near by water solar installation is suggested. 3. For a batch size of 15 students, the following equipment and tools are required:
