***The brain drain is a loss for the developing countries: the future of many poor countries
is built upon the talents of their educated children. If a large number of these highly educated
people ieave the country, the investment in education in these countries may be futile.
benefits of brain drain :
-improve financial conditions
-aquire more skills
-send money to their poor families
...-Bring home: expertise, skills a hopes
-filling key positions in their countries of origin
drawbacks of brain drain:
-more poverty in the native countries
-skill shortages
-loss of hopes and expertise
-to impede the economic growth
-less opportunities for development

***
The phenomenon of brain drain appeard in the 1960s.. Brain drain is the movement of highly
skilled and talented people from their own countries (usually developing ones) to other
countries ( developed ones) in order to ameliorate the standard of their lives.
If a large number of highly-educated people in developing countries immigrate, investment in
education may be fruitless and such an immigration may result in a slow economic growth..
Improving educational opportunities aims at reducing specific skill shortages, if measures are
not taken to encourage people to stay in their countries, the shortage of skills will be much
more important and the efforts made to avoid such shortages may be useless.//// gaining more
skills and abilities / gaining more experience and therefore becoming more effective / being
open minded and able to build relashionships

***Urban Exodus ( disadvantages of city life)
With millions of people pouring into the city, it is becoming more and more crowded. As a
result, city-dwellers realise that city is not an ideal place to live. Upon this realisation, they
plan to move to more rural areas of the country.
People who are dissatisfied with city life, often cite these disadvantages.

To start with, living in a city is very stressful as the life is very busy and competitive there
.Besides the cars and factories pollute the air in the city, which is very harmful to
our lungs. This pollution increases the possibilities of lung cancer. Additionaly, noise pollution
is absolutely overwhelming.
Eventually, there are more people but fewer public parks so it is so difficult to find a quiet and
beautiful place to relax.
In a word, city is no longer a paradise to live in, so it seems wise to move to countryside.

(advantages of coutryside life)
we can consider the fact that the country is less polluted and the traffic isn't so heavy.
You are fit and you don't need to worry about your health condition, because in the
countryside the air and water are so clean. In the country there aren't any huge blocks
of flats, modern skyscrapers or bothersome traffic jams.
Furthermore In the country you are free to admire the breathtaking landscapes . You can
enjoy walking in the forest and picking mushrooms or hunting. Moreover, living in the
countryside is cheaper than it is in the city, so you probably may afford many other things,
because the prices are lower. The other positive side is the safety. In the rural area the crime
rate is much lower. There aren't a lot of housebreaks and the possibility of burglary is also
lower. In the countryside people usually keep eyes on neighbour's properties. They always
react when something strange is happening. Country life is very peaceful and quiet.

***SCIENCE A BLESSING OR A CURSE?
Undoubtedly, Science is one of the greatest blessing to modern life. And so far, Science is
making impossible things possible. The influence of science can be seen in every walk of
life. This is true that the gifts of science are indisputable and countless. Who can deny that
science has made so much progress that life of a man, society, nation and the world has
advanced tremendously. It has controlled nature also. Why science is a blessing? Because it
has brought a great revolution and changes in agriculture, Railways trains, motor cars
and aeroplanes, taken us to all parts of the world etc. No sphere of human activity has been
left untouched by science. It has affected not only the physical conditions of existence but
also the thinking of man. The mind of a modern man is a scientific mind and refuses to
believe anything that is not proved beyond doubt. Electricityis another boon to mankind.
Thus we see that the blessings of science though innumerable, have a matching number of
abuses. The abuses are so great that they even represent a danger of complete annihilation
of the human race, both physically and mentally and of course spiritually. Man is basically
destructive by nature and getting too much of scientific know-how will only confirm his doom.
If in certain respects it has proved a blessing if has also acted as a curse in certain fields
.During the second world war lots of people were killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki when US
dropped atom bombs on them in 1945.
Science has produced many deadlier weapons and made wars very horrible. It is up to the

man to decide whether he wants to use it for peaceful or for destructive purposes. Science is
such a knowledge which can be turned both into a blessing and curse. But man should
always use science for the promotion of peace and happiness of mankind. It should never be
used for war or destructive purposes.
