The Cure
I do believe my heart cannot hear, for my instructions to it seem to disappear. I desired to find the source of this blunder, and so my own heart's caves I did plunder. A surprise there did beset upon me, a slightly humanoid cavity. From that I assumed that my heart had gone blind, such a large filling it just could not find! Or maybe the truth is my heart cannot feel, though its aching and throbbing is most verily real. Soon that hole filled with things of distress: anger, confusion, fear, hopelessness. An elixir, some cure, had to be found, but something so special I cannot confound! So I tried to enter another's heart, but got lost in her eyes and had to restart. Their gentle maelstroms and icy flames caused my distraction; they were to blame! As I entered the chamber I could not believe my eyes: there was a lonely cavity of just my size! Instead of the workings of despair, there was the cure that I required: care. Instead of exchange them, which I could not have done, she opted to share it and our two hearts became one.
