“Drucker’s ideas…display a force and resonance that leave him pretty much in a class by himself.”
– Fortune
“The man who invented management.”
– BusinessWeek
“It would be diffcult to overestimate his contribution to management thinking.”

A proliferation of management training tools—often based on unproven theories or the thinnest of thinking—
is buffeting management professionals as they face an increasingly complex and turbulent economy. But the
most successful organizations know that now, more than ever, they need to get back to the fundamentals of
great management. They need, that is, to get back to where it all began: the teachings of Peter F. Drucker.
For the frst time, managers and their teams have the opportunity to master Drucker’s core principles and
then turn them into action with Drucker Unpacked, an exciting new offering developed in partnership by the
Drucker Institute at Claremont Graduate University; the WildWorks Group, a leading process consultant to
Fortune 500 companies; and the Center for Great Management.
Drucker Unpacked is a two-phased approach designed to build your managers’ core capabilities as well as give
them the tools to take on some of today’s toughest business challenges. Both phases—which are mutually
reinforcing—are delivered through engaging, self-facilitated one- to three-hour sessions that are unlike
traditional training programs. With our proprietary process and materials, participants actually drive the
learning themselves, sharing their personal experiences and creating their own “aha’s.” Most important, they
walk away with real ownership of a concrete plan to turn their insights into results.
One phase of Unpacked, “The Drucker Management Path,” is a fully integrated curriculum that teaches
managers how to be more effective and how to lead. The other, “Business in Action,” allows managers to
work with their teams to tackle specifc business issues.
And underlying it all are 60-plus years of practical wisdom from the most trusted management thinker of our time.

“Drucker is a hero of mine, He writes and thinks with exquisite
clarity—a standout among a bunch of muddled fad mongers.”
– Andy Grove, co-founder of Intel Corp.

The Drucker Management Path
We began by asking leading CEOs and accomplished HR executives a simple question: “What do you need to
develop your managers?” Time and again, we heard the same answer: “I need my managers to understand
the fundamental concepts that are truly paramount to their success—and the organization’s success. And I
need them to understand how to apply those concepts each and every day.”
This is what the Drucker Management Path is all about. It utilizes the Drucker Unpacked active-learning
method to convey Peter Drucker’s timeless teachings about effective management in a holistic and sequential
way. Valuable for new and experienced managers alike, the Drucker Management Path consists of the
following workshops:

“Drucker’s works are the tracts that launched the ‘practice of management’
as we know it to this day—and as we will know it for decades to come.”
– Tom Peters
