I live in this shell we call my life I hide the gun, I stash the knife My head aches and I turn around I see my world turning upside down And when we thought it was gone We all know inside it is never done This thing inside, it wants out It tears at my flesh it screams and shouts It drinks my blood and shakes my soul It wants out! it needs to grow My hands shake and my knees buckle I hear its screams and the clinging of metal It chains are breaking and will not longer last For he is my future and I am his past
