Villa La Fiorentina, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat Peninsula, French
Riviera, France
Built in 1917 by the countess Therese de Beauchamp and modeled after a Florentine palace, Villa
La Fiorentina is very quietly seeking buyers willing to pay a price tag of $525 million, sources
tell Forbes. Previously owned by the Americans Mary Wells Lawrence, an advertising executive, and
her husband Harding Lawrence, the head of Braniff International, the home has been a grand site
for entertaining. Past guests reportedly include Princess Grace, Frank Sinatra, Andrew Lloyd
Webber, Elizabeth Taylor, and Greta Garbo. It lies at the edge of Saint Hospice point, giving
it unmarred, spectacular Riviera views.
