The Festival produces and coordinates daily events featuring diverse and creative c reative programming promoting traditional and contemporary arts and culture, culture, natural beauty, and community spirit. Events are primarily free and open to the public. To Get There: For a more enjoyable tr ip, take Metrorail trip, duringPlaza non-rush hours to the Smithsonian Station (Blue/Orange lines). Alternatively, the L’Enfant Station (Blue/Yellow/Green lines), 7th Street & Maryland Avenue exit, is only an extra 10-minute 10 -minute walk to the blossoms and much less crowded. Matthew and I went here for a satisfying meal after after we got our marriage license in DC. We highly recommend the chocolate mouse! The dress code is casual. casual. This was one of the places Erin went to during her visit to DC to meet Matthew’s friends for the first time. t ime.   Shopping DC offers a wide variety of shopping options. Georgetown is a great place to check out on a nice day. There are tons of outdoor outdoor shops, restaurants, restaurants, and cafes. It’s a good place to people people watch. Every so often you may even spot the Secret Service decked out in their black suits, dark sun glasses, and ear buds.

Friendship Heights Heights is also a great place for shoppers. They have stores from th the e common to the very high end.
