TRAFFIC PATTERN FOR WEST SPRINGFIELD HIGH SCHOOL
Visitor Parking - Visitors arriving for a brief 15 minutes or less are encouraged to use the 15 minute visitor parking spaces next to marked Entrance 1. Please avoid parking in the fire lanes to the front of the building when leaving your vehicle to come into the building. If you are here for a lengthy stay please use the marked visitor parking spaces at the south end of the school access road or the visitor spaces marked in the main school parking lot. Parent Drop Off and Pick Up in the morning and End of the Day Traffic As always with the amount of traffic volume with morning traffic we strongly suggest that your students ride the school bus. A survey was conducted recently and was estimated between 600-700 parents drop off in a 30 minute period in the morning using our limited access road. If you choose to drop off in the morning or pickup in the afternoon please use Marked School Entrances 10, 1 and 2 to the front of the school or Entrances 3 and 4 to the side of the school. The Sports Lobby parking area is used in the morning and after school for the bus staging area and no parent traffic should be using this area between the hours of 7am-7:20am morning. Parents may pick up in the Sports Lobby parking lot once the buses have exited usually by 2:25pm.
