Admission Requirements and Application Procedures
The Program in Rehabilitation Science requires applicants to fill-out the Graduate School application for admission. The Program does not require a separate Program application. A completed Graduate School application is one of several items you will need to submit to be considered for admission to the MS or PhD Programs in Rehabilitation Science. Below is a link to the Graduate School’s application and a full description of admission requirements. Admission Requirements and Application Procedures: Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to rehabilitation science, such as: biomedical engineering, kinesiology, medicine, occupational therapy, physical therapy, public health, speech/audiology etc. International students must hold a comparable foreign degree from an accredited program. Depending on the educational background of the applicant, admission may be contingent upon completion of selected prerequisite course work (i.e. physics, etc.). Finally, funding in the form of teaching and research assistantships has bearing on the number of applicants admitted. Selection of, and consent from, an advisor is important to the application process. The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers M.S. (plan A or B) and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. Students planning to work toward the Ph.D. may apply to the M.S. program and earn a Master's degree on the way to earning the Ph.D, or may apply directly to the Ph.D. program. For more information about the degree programs, please refer to the ME Graduate Student Handbook. The Department offers admission to the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering programs for the Fall and Spring semesters. The deadline for Fall semester admission is December 15 of the previous year. Only applications received by December 15 will be considered for financial support. Applications received after December 15 will be reviewed for space available admission. The deadline for Spring semester admission is October 15 of the previous year. Applications received after October 15 will not be considered for Spring semester admission. We work with the Graduate School regarding your admission. You must return the Graduate School Application for Admission directly to the Graduate School.
