UNIVERSITY ONLINE VOTING SYSTEM
The problems that the system seeks to solve are;
1. Students wait for hours in long lines to cast their votes in the election in a day largely free of major voting breakdowns or systemic irregularities.
2. Long time taken when counting the ballot papers.
3. A student to vote two times
We are targeting university students
1. Lack of enough voting equipment. 2. lack of election officials. 3. lack of security and an election chairman at times indicates events are out of his control.
The solution to the problem The system will simplify voting systems that require voters to go to staffed polling places and use computers connected to internet to cast their votes. The internet is used to transfer the ballots from each polling place to centralized tallying centers.
To overcome these problems it is necessary to design a centralized system which covers these factors. A secure and efficient electronic system will cover such problems as the counting of votes and the casting of multiple votes.
