Bringing plug-in staff to application field Positioning of places for welding and suspensions Grinding already painted structural steel construction Cutting of angle profiles Pre-welding of suspensions Lifting pre-welded construction Pre-fixing of suspension on structural steel construction Welding of suspensions on structural steel Re-painting of affected area on structural steel construction Positioning of cable ladders and marking of screw position Removing of cable ladders Drilling holes for screw Bringing of cable ladders back. Through bolting of cable ladders Cleaning of suspensions Painting of suspensions in two phases In case of any changes – cutting of whole suspension and the whole process must be repeated

Time consumption :
Total time needed is in days. The consumption is influenced by following facts : - Experienced and certified welder is needed - Experienced welder is not free immediately - Moving of plug-inn facilities takes a time - Painting processes done in two phases – basic and final - Drying process of paintings takes days

Advantage of traditional method :
• Low material costs • Structural steel profiles available

Disadvantage of traditional method :
• Low flexibility • Necessary to use welding method • Welded supports are usually done by welders working for fabricators not for electrical subcontractor, therefore subcontractor has to apply for the welders for every case separately and has to wait when available – wasting time • A lot of procedures related to welding e.g. plug-in, grinding, re-painting of affected surfaces. • Precise pre-fixing necessary for correct position after welding • Needed labour for holding, lifting and pre-positioning of supports • In case of any changes complicated adaptability, usually whole construction must be removed and replaced by new one. The whole process must be repeated.

Hilti method

Positioning of places for suspensions Pre-drilling and shooting of X-BT nails Screwing on MQ base plates Cutting of channel profiles Pre-assembling of suspensions Screwing on the whole suspensions Fixing of cable ladders by wing nuts and screws In case of any changes option to use adjustments in all directions.

Time consumption :
-The whole process could be done in 30 minutes included whole preparation and finalizing the work -For installation process the experienced and specially certified welder is not needed

Advantage of Hilti method :

Disadvantage of Hilti method :

• Reduction of Installation time dramatically • Relatively higher material costs from hours ( days in case of waiting for • Tightening of nut on X-BT nail must be done by torque certified welder and drying of paints) to minutes control wrench and correctly. • No welding process • Relatively limited loading capacity up to size of cable trays • No request for specially proved welders 150 mm width accepted. • No grinding on place of Installation • No affected finished surfaces • No painting • No re-painting • No pre-positioning needed • In case of any changes adjustment in all directions • Flexible solution • Grade A4 / BS 316 Ti Stainless Steel for corrosion resistance • Could be done by electrical subcontractor – saving time • Overall cost savings due to improved productivity and scheduling

Combined methods Fixing of Hilti solution on ’’Starter bracket’’

Starter bracket is a standard piece of stainless steel as spread installation habit in Platform building industry, welded on structural carbon steel. Advantage of Hilti solution fixed on starter rackets method : • Accepted for almost all sizes of cable trays and cable ladders • Reduction of Installation time dramatically from days up to minutes • Reduced welding process • No affected finished surfaces • NO painting • Reduced re-painting • No pre-positioning needed • In case of any changes adjustment in all directions • Flexible solution • Grade A4 / BS 316 Ti Stainless Steel for corrosion resistance • Overall cost savings due to improved productivity and scheduling Disadvantage of Hilti solution fixed on starter rackets method : • Relatively higher material costs • Tightening of nut on X-BT nail must be done by torque control wrench and correctly. • Relatively limited loading capacity up to size of cable trays 300 mm width accepted. • Specially proved welder needed for limited time

Combined methods

Fixing of Hilti solution on welded Hilti channel base plate MQP – 21-72 – R or MQV -2/2D – 14 - R Currently best seller

Advantage of Hilti solution fixed on welded MQP-21-72 method : • Accepted for almost all sizes of cable trays and cable ladders • Unified solution fully compactable with channels • Reduced welding process • No affected finished surfaces • NO painting • Reduced re-painting • In case of any changes adjustment in all directions • Flexible solution • Grade A4 / BS 316 Ti Stainless Steel for corrosion resistance • Overall cost savings due to improved productivity and scheduling

Disadvantage of Hilti solution on welded MQP-21-72 method : • Relatively higher material costs • Tightening of nut on X-BT nail must be done by torque control wrench and correctly. • Relatively limited loading capacity up to size of cable trays 300 mm width accepted. • Specially proved welder needed for limited time
