1.) Amar Bose built his philosophy on the foundational importance of research and working-from-scratch innovation, and utilized it in the company’s creation of most of its revolutionary products. Bose corporation takes the “differentiation” route, and knows that through benchmarking itself with its competitors, the process it takes in formatting its products are far different from the common product development strategies. Knowing that most of its competitors use currently accepted methods of developing their products as their foundation, making the effort to start from ground up gives it an innovative edge in having uniquely made sound systems. Objectives are a large part of assessing competitors and one’s own company. Seeing as how the main objective of Bose as a company is to gain customer trust by showing that their priority is for the customers best interest, speaks millions of how they seek to diversify away from simply having profit as their main motivator. Other companies simply aim to gain as much money as they can, and also only adopt already existing strategies for product development, and this shows where their potential weaknesses lie. A comparison of how competitors address the “customer value analysis” is also an integral part on how Amar bose would see his competitors. The fact that they put much attention on providing customers the best and most unique products to build the mutual trust they have with these customers, is what has brought them far. 2.) Considering the three approaches to marketing strategy, namely Entrepreneurial, Formulated and Intrepreneurial marketing, we can say that entrepreneurial marketing strategy best describe Bose’s approach. We could see in Bose’s case that the strategy is primarily entrepreneurial from the beginning in 1950. Amar Bose, founder and CEO of Bose, was a very typical example of a certain person or thing entrepreneur, he studied, experimented, and took his time to create a sound system which best showed his high standards. Also we can see the same by his attempt to learn how to communicate the quality of the 901 series to customers through specialized display and tactics to the customers to help them better understand the technology behind his products. The Bose Company has already millions of users and millions more aspire to use their brand. Amar Bose believed that their company needed to focus on being different from other competitors—and that was what they did. They tried to surpass the other companies by differentiating their product lines with features and attributes that other companies have never given the people. The founder and CEO of Bose, Amar Bose, have influenced the company’s focus on research and innovation just like what his interests are. He knows that they currently have the technology that is differently better and new that many people will many people would want to try it out and soon will want to have their products. .
