Mission Impossible was to override the stunning and world most awarded current suit line, the existing 20th Anniversary Waterproof collection. And in addition create something that was by far opportune in the market, a fully dressedup Front Zip Suit. The faces hardened, the doors banged locked and when finally opened, the new born W1 was awarded with the most prestigious design award in the world, the Red Dot Design Award. And this as “Best of the Best 2009” in the category Product Design. The new W1 with highly quality unique functions and ergonomic design convinced the international jury. So, pared with earlier winners like Nike, Apple, Adidas and Lamborghini we at Waterproof kind of feel we did it again, created yet another winner! Just because anyone can make a 3mm suit does not mean that Waterproof just followed the pack. As a part of our 20th anniversary collection we wanted something special – and we have it in both our Capri 3mm full suit and the Sirius 3mm shorty. We started by including all the features you have come to expect in every Waterproof product like gender specific fit and sharp Scandinavian styling. Additionally we included all of the features from our heavier lines like relief zippers in the neck, rash guards in the wrist and ankles and a 3D construction sculpted to fit human movement. We realize that just because you are diving the tropics does not mean your suit no longer matters so we combined all of our features into a glued and double stitched, premium neoprene suit. When your backyard is the Artic Circle you learn that short cuts do not pay– so we deliver premium design and quality in every suit we make from the artic capable to the tropical.

DIVE AND PHOTOGRAPHY EXPEDITIONS TO ANTARCTICA & THE ARCTIC
Antarctica remains the last vast wilderness on earth. A continent encircled by pack ice, huge tabular icebergs and covered with an ice sheet miles deep. A beautiful mysterious place, enticing explorers, adventurers and dreamers over the decades. We travel to the Antarctic Peninsula in February - March with the best chances for Whales and Leopard Seals and clear visibility. Not just ice but an amazing underwater world with an interesting marine life like Giant Isopods, Worms, Sea Spiders, colourful Sea Stars, Anemones, fearless Seals and jumping penguins. The diversity of benthos with the rays of sunlight create an overwhelming and ever-changing spectrum of colours. We take our time to explore the Kelp walls, Sea-Snails, Sea Butterflies, many Brittle Stars, various Antarctic fish, Shrubby Horse-tails, jelly-fish, Sea-Urchins, Starfish and krill, and appreciate what only a few divers have seen before you. The Arctic is a place where everything seems bigger, glaciers mirror the sunset, setting fire to mountain tops, and nothing can prepare the traveller for his or her first sight of the indisputable King of the Arctic on the sea ice: the Polar Bear. The beautiful surroundings of the Spitsbergen Archipelago is a paradise for all, divers, adventurers, naturalists and photographers with its amazing array of colours, moods and diverse wildlife. The opportunity to be in the company of Walrus hauling out on an ice floe, watching whales, seals and Polar Bears, and cruise around in our zodiacs between brilliant white icebergs and ice floes will amaze you with awe. The marine ecosystems around Svalbard are diverse and contain many beautiful, spectacular and interesting species, which are not generally known. Colourfull Seastars, Brittle Stars, Nudibranches, Sea Snails, Crabs, beautiful Comb Jellies and many more. We visit the Arctic in the Northern summer season June till October, taking advantage of the long hours of daylight when temperatures are not severe. We charter small ice-strengthened expedition vessels for our unique expeditions to the Polar regions. Our trips vary from 10 – 12 days offering 2 dives per day, weather and ice permitting. Though diving is the priority on our expeditions, photography is also an important element of our programme, for divers as well as non-divers. Underwater as well as topside. We always have a zodiac available for the non-divers that join us for an excellent photography experience. We bring well known professional photographers on our trips who offer photography workshops and assist you with technical tips on how to make great images. POLAR DIVING
Our unique diving expeditions take us to the most remote regions in the world; The Arctic and Antarctica. The common perception is that the Polar waters are so cold, (between -1.9ºC - 0ºC), it is absent of life. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Antarctica and the Arctic have one of the richest marine environments in the world, full of surprises. The creatures found there are colourful and astonishing, offering many opportunities for stunning and unique images. Waterproof Expedition is the only polar dive operator where diving and (underwater) photography is a priority on the trip. As a part of our 20th anniversary collection we wanted something special – and we have it in both our Capri 3mm full suit and the Sirius 3mm shorty. DIVE AND PHOTOGRAPHY EXPEDITIONS TO ANTARCTICA & THE ARCTIC
Antarctica remains the last vast wilderness on earth. A continent encircled by pack ice, huge tabular icebergs and covered with an ice sheet miles deep. A beautiful mysterious place, enticing explorers, adventurers and dreamers over the decades. We travel to the Antarctic Peninsula in February - March with the best chances for Whales and Leopard Seals and clear visibility. Not just ice but an amazing underwater world with an interesting marine life like Giant Isopods, Worms, Sea Spiders, colourful Sea Stars, Anemones, fearless Seals and jumping penguins. The diversity of benthos with the rays of sunlight create an overwhelming and ever-changing spectrum of colours. We take our time to explore the Kelp walls, Sea-Snails, Sea Butterflies, many Brittle Stars, various Antarctic fish, Shrubby Horse-tails, jelly-fish, Sea-Urchins, Starfish and krill, and appreciate what only a few divers have seen before you. The Arctic is a place where everything seems bigger, glaciers mirror the sunset, setting fire to mountain tops, and nothing can prepare the traveller for his or her first sight of the indisputable King of the Arctic on the sea ice: the Polar Bear. The beautiful surroundings of the Spitsbergen Archipelago is a paradise for all, divers, adventurers, naturalists and photographers with its amazing array of colours, moods and diverse wildlife. The opportunity to be in the company of Walrus hauling out on an ice floe, watching whales, seals and Polar Bears, and cruise around in our zodiacs between brilliant white icebergs and ice floes will amaze you with awe. The marine ecosystems around Svalbard are diverse and contain many beautiful, spectacular and interesting species, which are not generally known. Colourfull Seastars, Brittle Stars, Nudibranches, Sea Snails, Crabs, beautiful Comb Jellies and many more. We visit the Arctic in the Northern summer season June till October, taking advantage of the long hours of daylight when temperatures are not severe. We charter small ice-strengthened expedition vessels for our unique expeditions to the Polar regions. Our trips vary from 10 – 12 days offering 2 dives per day, weather and ice permitting. Though diving is the priority on our expeditions, photography is also an important element of our programme, for divers as well as non-divers. Underwater as well as topside. We always have a zodiac available for the non-divers that join us for an excellent photography experience. We bring well known professional photographers on our trips who offer photography workshops and assist you with technical tips on how to make great images. POLAR DIVING
Our unique diving expeditions take us to the most remote regions in the world; The Arctic and Antarctica. The common perception is that the Polar waters are so cold, (between -1.9ºC - 0ºC), it is absent of life. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Antarctica and the Arctic have one of the richest marine environments in the world, full of surprises. The creatures found there are colourful and astonishing, offering many opportunities for stunning and unique images. Waterproof Expedition is the only polar dive operator where diving and (underwater) photography is a priority on the trip.
