1. What is petroleum?
The word petroleum comes from the Latin which petra means rock and andoleum means
oil. It is a thick ,flammable yellow to mixture of gaseous,liquid mixture of hydrocarbon
that is present in certain rock skata and can be extracted and refined to produce fuels
including gasoline ,kerosene and diesel oil.
