All twin wheeled casters look alike, so when selecting one it is best to bring a sample in to a Casterland location and show which one you need. You must bring in both caster body and stem as stems are not interchangeable from one manufacturer to another. For office chairs the 7/16” c-clip style is most common.

CASTER WHEELS
What makes one wheel better than the other? How you use it is the best answer. A hard wheel has less “rolling resistance” and as a result may be easier to push or pull. However, a softer wheel glides over debris easier and is less likely to damage floors. A choice that is in the middle is Urethane on Nylon (UN). There are also other determining factors and choices in wheels like; chemical conditions, wet environments, food workplace. Even bearing options are important factors when choosing a wheel. Speak with one of our staff to help you make the best choice!
Ny-Lite (NL)
Black, hard, non-marking, stain-resistant wheel with good water and chemical resistance.
Some sizes also available in White (WL).
Eliminator (EL)
New generation grey non-marking wheel bonded to thermoplastic core. Soft tread but high weight capacities. Clean running wheel with good chemical, oil, and acid resistance.
Neoprene (XD)
These quiet and easy rolling wheels are good for all floor surfaces. Wear and oil resistant. Shock absorbing, non-marking. Will reject floor debris such as screws, metal filings and glass.
Rubber Moldon Cast (RMC)
Black solid cushion rubber tire bonded to cast steel wheel center. Provides an economical, quiet rolling wheel.
Solid Elastomer (PSE)
Quiet solid elastomer wheel. Ergonomically designed for medium loads(300-1800lbs). Excellent mobility and shock absorption. Ideal for continuous use and towlines. Tolerant of a wide range of chemicals.
Urethane on Cast (UC/UCC)
Polyurethane formed on cast center. Good oil, chemical, and acid resistance. Will not take a compression set, and provides load ratings similar to steel wheels. Crowned wheel also available which makes less contact with surfaces resulting in easier swiveling.
Phenolic (BAL)
Fibre-filler impregnated with phenolic resin and molded with extreme heat and pressure. Provides a hard smooth wheel with good corrosion resistance.
High temperature (HT) available. Laminated Phenolic (LAM) available for better wear.
Swivel-EAZ (EZ)
Carries twice the load of standard size wheels. Maintenance free for longer life. Non-marking high performance elastomer treads.
Ductile Iron(DU)
Heavy duty wheels for severe loads. Very resistant to breaking, cracking and chipping. Also referred to as malleable iron. Loads are distributed across the entire wheel for maximum floor protection.
Urethane on Nylon (UN)
Polyurethane tread bonded to a polypropylene core for high strength and light weight. Non-marking wheel designed to meet the stringent requirements of clinical environments.
V-Groove (VG)
Made from Cast steel, these wheels are great for running along a piece of inverted angle iron or tubing as a guide. The load must still rest on the flat of the wheel tread.
Ductile Iron (VG-DU) available.
Hi-Resilience (OBQ)
This wheel has a high resistance to wear. The ergonomic design reduces push effort, gentle on most surfaces, has excellent abrasion resistance with good water resistance and comes with precision bearings.
Flanged Wheel (FL)
Cast Steel or Ductile Iron wheel designed to operate on a steel track. This wheel minimizes rolling effort and aids guidance. Superior wear factor to VGroove wheels. Excellent for use on boat cradles and similar tracked applications.
Reinforced Thermoplastic (RT)
High performance, durable and cost effective wheel generally suited for food processing, tool storage, sanitary maintenance, and applications requiring heavy loads.
High temperature (HT) available.

All twin wheeled casters look alike, so when selecting one it is best to bring a sample in to a Casterland location and show which one you need. You must bring in both caster body and stem as stems are not interchangeable from one manufacturer to another. For office chairs the 7/16” c-clip style is most common.

CASTER WHEELS
What makes one wheel better than the other? How you use it is the best answer. A hard wheel has less “rolling resistance” and as a result may be easier to push or pull. However, a softer wheel glides over debris easier and is less likely to damage floors. A choice that is in the middle is Urethane on Nylon (UN). There are also other determining factors and choices in wheels like; chemical conditions, wet environments, food workplace. Even bearing options are important factors when choosing a wheel. Speak with one of our staff to help you make the best choice!
Ny-Lite (NL)
Black, hard, non-marking, stain-resistant wheel with good water and chemical resistance.
Some sizes also available in White (WL).
Eliminator (EL)
New generation grey non-marking wheel bonded to thermoplastic core. Soft tread but high weight capacities. Clean running wheel with good chemical, oil, and acid resistance.
Neoprene (XD)
These quiet and easy rolling wheels are good for all floor surfaces. Wear and oil resistant. Shock absorbing, non-marking. Will reject floor debris such as screws, metal filings and glass.
Rubber Moldon Cast (RMC)
Black solid cushion rubber tire bonded to cast steel wheel center. Provides an economical, quiet rolling wheel.
Solid Elastomer (PSE)
Quiet solid elastomer wheel. Ergonomically designed for medium loads(300-1800lbs). Excellent mobility and shock absorption. Ideal for continuous use and towlines. Tolerant of a wide range of chemicals.
Urethane on Cast (UC/UCC)
Polyurethane formed on cast center. Good oil, chemical, and acid resistance. Will not take a compression set, and provides load ratings similar to steel wheels. Crowned wheel also available which makes less contact with surfaces resulting in easier swiveling.
Phenolic (BAL)
Fibre-filler impregnated with phenolic resin and molded with extreme heat and pressure. Provides a hard smooth wheel with good corrosion resistance.
High temperature (HT) available. Laminated Phenolic (LAM) available for better wear.
Swivel-EAZ (EZ)
Carries twice the load of standard size wheels. Maintenance free for longer life. Non-marking high performance elastomer treads.
Ductile Iron(DU)
Heavy duty wheels for severe loads. Very resistant to breaking, cracking and chipping. Also referred to as malleable iron. Loads are distributed across the entire wheel for maximum floor protection.
Urethane on Nylon (UN)
Polyurethane tread bonded to a polypropylene core for high strength and light weight. Non-marking wheel designed to meet the stringent requirements of clinical environments.
V-Groove (VG)
Made from Cast steel, these wheels are great for running along a piece of inverted angle iron or tubing as a guide. The load must still rest on the flat of the wheel tread.
Ductile Iron (VG-DU) available.
Hi-Resilience (OBQ)
This wheel has a high resistance to wear. The ergonomic design reduces push effort, gentle on most surfaces, has excellent abrasion resistance with good water resistance and comes with precision bearings.
Flanged Wheel (FL)
Cast Steel or Ductile Iron wheel designed to operate on a steel track. This wheel minimizes rolling effort and aids guidance. Superior wear factor to VGroove wheels. Excellent for use on boat cradles and similar tracked applications.
Reinforced Thermoplastic (RT)
High performance, durable and cost effective wheel generally suited for food processing, tool storage, sanitary maintenance, and applications requiring heavy loads.
High temperature (HT) available.

Limited Warranty: General Provisions Casterland warrants to the original purchaser of it's product that the product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 90 days after the date of delivery to the original purchaser. This limited warranty is not effective with respect to products that are not properly installed or not used in the proper application based on loads, speeds and other factors. This warranty does not apply to products damaged or destroyed as a result of shipping. Freight Policy All goods ordered from this catalogue are FOB our original purchase point warehouses and shipped via freight collect. Orders over $500.00 may be eligible for a freight reduction of half the original freight cost to a major centre by a carrier of our choice. Any large orders or O.E.M. customers may be eligible for prepaid orders to a major centre by a carrier of our choice. Pricing Prices are subject to change without notice.
