White House
Since 1800, the white house has been more than just a home to the President and his family. It is known as the Presidents Palace . The White House is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, in Washington D.C., the capital of the United States. The White House is a very important and interesting place. There are lots of interesting things that happened there and lots of interesting people that lived there. The first president to live there was John Adams.

The White House was designed by a man named James Hoban. It was built from 1792 to 1800. It was burned down by British in the War of 1812, but was rebuilt from 1815 to 1817. In 1929 the White House had another fire in the west wing while Herbert Hoover was President. The White House got its original name in 1901 by Theodore Roosevelt.

The White House is very big. It is 55,000 square feet. It took 570 gallons of paint to cover the outside of the white house. The White House has 132 rooms, 32 bathrooms, 7 staircases, 412 doors, 147 windows, 6 floors, 28 fireplaces, and 3 elevators. The dining room is also very big. It can fit up to 140 guests.

The White House is a very entertaining place. It has a jogging track, a pool, a billiard room, a tennis court, a movie theater, and a bowling lane. Lots of people like to visit the white house. About 6,000 people visit a day. There is also a gift shop.

The White House has over 100 important rooms. Out of all of those rooms, there are 4 most important. Those rooms are; the cabinet room, the oval office, the situation room, and the treaty room. Those rooms are very important. Lots of things go on in those rooms.

The oval office is where the president does most of his work and makes all of his disisions.it is located in the west wing. The cabinet room is where the secretary, the president, and all the other people have their meetings. It is located in the West Wing of the White House Complex, adjoining the Oval Office. The situation room is a room where they have meetings about what s going on in the world. It is located in the center in the basement of the West Wing of the White House. The treaty room is a room that the president can design any way he wants it like while Herbert hoover was president he made it a parlor or sitting room, and when John F Kenned was President he made it a room to represent a part of the house's Victorian era history. It is located on the second floor in the White House Being the president to me means loyalty, respect, and leadership. The White House means to me fellowship,professionalism, and citizenship. Together this means to me honor. It s an honor to be the president and live in the white house.one day I would love to serve my country and become president.
