James Sigman 8/27/13 Why I Should/Should Not Have to Take this Class When I discovered my score on the AP Literature Exam in mid-july, I realized that my writing skills were not up to par with those of my peers. There was a benchmark score of a four necessary to place out of this class and I knew full well that it was required, yet I still did not do well enough for Notre Dame. I know that manipulating language successfully will only play to my advantage in any field. If one of Notre Dame’s key missions is to develop the whole person, then I absolutely should have to take this course.
