WR Why I Should Have to Take This Class

Writing and Rhetoric should be a requirement. I have always considered myself a science and math person; therefore I avoided advanced English classes in high school because I felt weak in that area. I probably would not have chosen this class on my own, so I am thankful that it is a requirement. I know this class will strengthen both my analytical skills and writing skills, which is crucial for success at Notre Dame. Also the first day of Writing and Rhetoric has made me more excited than I have ever been for an “English class.” Writing and Rhetoric will introduce me to new aspects of the standard “English class” and help me see the subject I used to avoid in a new light.
